This first card I made is using a technique called the spinner card.  I came across this card a few times and have always wanted to try it.  This card is very basic as I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing before I made a more in depth card.

The second card I made was a squash book.  You can either use this as a card or a book that you can put your 4th of July pictures in.

I used ribbon to tie the entire book together.

Supplies used: All CTMH and available
Stamps: Jubilation
Inks: Twilight and Cranberry
Embellishments: None
Tools: Tape and ribbon

Welcome Baby!

My husband put me in charge of making a card for a guy he trucks for in the off season.  They had a baby girl a couple of weeks ago I think and I've been fussing with the card ever since.  I'm still not for sure if I like it yet, but it will do.  The stamp set is from Our Craft Lounge and it is called Bundle of Joy.  The little shirt is kind of wrinkled due to the fact I couldn't get it just the way I wanted it.  I guess you could say I'm a little anal!  LOL

Congratulations on your Retirement!

Here is another quilt card I made for my mom. One of the ladies at her work is retiring.

I took two different types of ribbon and combinded them together.  One was a sheer blue ribbon and the other one was pink with white lines. It kind of reminded me of a little quilt inside the ribbon.

Supplies:

Paper: Kaiser
Ink:  Black from Close to my Heart
Ribbon

Happy Father's Day!

I thought I'd share some of the cards I made for my dad, my father-in-law and my husband.  Hope you enjoy!

Peyton decorated it for Daddy!

This card had two different pockets.  One pocket was for the pull out message and the other pocket was for what he was getting for Father's Day!

Your Invited Quilt Card

This card is from a pattern that I found on Splitcoaststampers.com.  I've always wanted to try something that was a little more challenging.   For this card you need two different types of pattern paper and three different colored cardstock.  You take the two pieces of pattern paper and cut them 5 3/4 x 3/4 strips and then you take them and cut them into 3/4" squares.  You will do the samething with the colored cardstock that you have picked.  You should have 40 squares, but you will not need all 40 square.  This is how mine turned out.

Up close!

This first card I made was with the firecracker stamp.  I found this template to use as a card and off the top of my head I can't remember where I found it, but will keep looking.

With the whole card opened up

My second card is called, "The Hidden Message Card."  I found the template by Paula Goff.

Front of the card

Back of the card

This is where the hidden message is.

Hidden part in the card that you don't see without pulling it apart.

When you open the entire card this is what it looks like.  As you notice you don't see the hidden message.

Supplies used: All CTMH and available!

Paper: Mayberry, Baby pink card stock, and White

Stamps: Jubilation

Inks: Coca and Cotton Candy

Embellishments: None

Tools: Tape and scor-pal

Thank You Cards

I made these cards for a neighbor down the road.  She needed some thank you cards to give to some teachers.  I made 3 total, but never took a picture of the first card.  This first card is a pretty simple card.  I stamped the apple with a stamp set that I got along time ago.  I used Close to my Heart black stamp pad to stamp the apple and the thank you saying.  I used R46 to color the apple.  For the outline I used the black copic marker.  On the inside of the card at the bottom I stamped an apple.

Inside of the card

With this card I thought of trying something different.  In order to close this card I used a magnet on one side of the card and then I hide the other magnet behind the paper.

This is part of the card being opened.  Inside the card was a white piece of paper that she was able to write on.

This is with the card fully open.

This is the magnet that is exposed and right across from it is where the other magnet is.
